I don’t post enough short entries.

Have you ever looked at the corner of your ceiling and realized that you’ve never actually been there? I mean, surely you’ve seen it, and you spend so much time around it, but you’ve never… you know… been there. Have you ever touched that corner? Do you even know what it feels like?  What’s its texture?  Does it have a smell?  A taste?  A memory?

How many things in our immediate vicinity have never been explored? Why are things far away from us so valuable for us to see while so many things close to us are no less the stranger?

Love this post! It really got me thinking about this. Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder as I have a greater appreciation for things at a distance. Greater clarity. Like family, relationships, and even friendship. Thank you so much for sharing.
